Family Guy and 420
So I ended up sleeping almost 16 hours after the exhausting weekend of kendo. I didn’t quite feel like being as hard working as I should so I submitted a rough draft of my BME senior project report even though I could have done a bit more work on it. Instead I watched the newest episode of Family Guy courtesy of Hulu.
The episode was titled “420″ so obviously it would be about marijuana. Early on in the show Brian gets in trouble for possession and gets thrown in jail. When Lois finds Brian trying to cheat his way out of the urine testing through some hilarious means, she says that it is time for some change. Instead of changing by quitting, he decides to rally support for Quahog to legalize marijuana.

They even include a song and dance number to the tune of “Me Ol Bamboo” from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I’m pretty sure that they are endorsing marijuana legalization since they try to have Brian publicly state that marijuana should be made illegal again but at the end Brian remarks that he has nothing to show for it.
