According to Hiroko, Dr. Matsuyama assumes I'm really smart and as a result he feels like I will be able to handle more work. He also likes saying that I'm "dependable" which just means that he can make me stay really late. It really sucks that you got stuck with all the menial grunt work and stuff. Steven told me about that at the beginning of last semester and I felt really bad about it. I think you would have been able to handle the work without any problems. I think our workdays were only 9 hours or so last summer (which is still more hours a week than students are supposed to be working...). You guys are really getting screwed from having to do all that extra work that you can't get paid for.
